A Day Trip to Chengdu
Last weekend, I went on a day trip to Chengdu with my friends. We took the early morning train and arrived at Chengdu at around 9 a.m. Our first stop was the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding. We saw many adorable pandas, both adults and cubs, playing and eating bamboo. It was a great experience to be so close to these lovely creatures.
After visiting the panda base, we went to the famous Jinli Ancient Street, which is a traditional Chinese folk street. There were many shops selling traditional handicrafts, snacks and souvenirs. We tried some local snacks, such as spicy rabbit head and tea smoked duck, and bought some souvenirs for our families and friends.
In the afternoon, we went to visit the Wuhou Temple, which is a memorial temple for Zhuge Liang, a famous person in ancient Chinese history. We learned about his story and admired the beautiful architecture of the temple.
Finally, we went to the People's Park, where we enjoyed a cup of tea and watched people singing and dancing. It was a nice way to end our day in Chengdu.
Overall, it was a fantastic day trip to Chengdu. We got to see the cute pandas, experience traditional Chinese culture and enjoy the local food. I would definitely recommend Chengdu to anyone who wants to explore more of China.
